Forum rules

1. Potterychat.org is an English-language forum for the discussion of pottery and all it entails: throwing, handbuilding, techniques, glazing, firing, artists, pottery business, etc. Please bring any non-pottery-based posts to the "Miscellaneous" Forum (at the bottom of the index page).

2. Please avoid posting duplicate or highly similar content in multiple threads. Such duplicative posts will be deleted. If appropriate, do instead link to your original post.

3. Posts, private messages, images, etc. that attack or harass others are forbidden. Please keep the conversation civil in the event of a disagreement, or just "walk away".

4. Posts containing offensive language; inappropriate sexual, political, or religious opinions; or condone illegal activities are forbidden and will be removed.

5. Please do not reply to posts more than a year old in date, but do feel free to revive the topic in a new post.

6. The discussion of particular vendors is allowed--such as product reviews, vendor reviews, places to get a product, etc.--as long as the information is factual and relevant to the forum where it's posted. However, please post any advertisements in the "Classifieds" forum. Ads or false testimonials posted elsewhere will be promptly deleted.

7. Vendors and employees of vendors may participate in the forum, but should refrain from promoting their own products outside of the "Classifieds" forum.

9. Avatars must be easy to recognize, unanimated, and comply with the spirit of items 3 and 4, above.
